30 Days of Holiday Dress-ing | No. 3 Winter Whites
Have something formal to attend or at least on the dressier scale? I bought this dress last year and finally got around to getting it hemmed this summer (short people problems). Walking around downtown Dallas in this dress grabbed SO many compliments, and a few honks. I also wanted to wear this to demonstrate not everything in my “life as a fashion/style blogger” is filled with endless new clothes. I strongly believe in buying pieces you’re going to love for years! I occasionally purchase seasonal/fad items – but I tend to purchase items on a grander scale that will last me years.
The peek a boo front on this dress is just enough to transform this dress from snooze to va va voom (at least from the front). But the back y’all ….. baby got back. I always go weak in the knees for a good backless number, but this one takes the cake. The way the lace fringe outlines the back opening adds an even more appealing dash of femininity and delicate allure. I wanted to keep walking around in this dress! The only thing I would recommend is a slip, it can get a little sheer – doesn’t necessarily bother me but that’s not everyone’s comfort zone either.
We’re currently on our way to Boston for the Thanksgiving holiday and I’m so excited for cold weather! Dallas has been SO disagreeable this fall! And I get to see my adorable (formerly mine) American Eskimo dog, Powder. If y’all follow me on Instagram or Snapchat – you’ll see her!
Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions? I put up a poll on Twitter yesterday asking people’s preferences in Thanksgiving pies. Surprisingly pumpkin pie won by a landslide! Does no one else like pecan pie? It’s my favorite! My husband also makes a mean key lime pie – and his meringue has drastically improved over the years.
Don’t forget to check out previous holiday stylesĀ and outfits! Not feeling the long maxi? Check out my collaboration with Maggy London and a shorter, more conservative lace dress option!

WOW, stunning. However those earrings seem as if they would become bothersome after a while. Although my ears do tend to be sensitive in that way,
Your make up is flawless and those statement earrings are gorgeous!
