2018 Mens Gift Guide

It’s time to get a move on with the holiday shoppingĀ  – where did the timeĀ  go? If you’re anything like me you have men in your family who are incredibly difficult to shop for.. talking to you Dad! As much as gift giving is stressful it’s also incredibly fun. I love seeing their faces or reactions in hopes of giving something they really wanted or needed (maybe unknowingly). Here is my 2018 Mens Gift Guide and roundup. I really tried to find a lot of fantastic gifts with comparable pricing so you’re not always paying for the label. Also – I don’t like to say go a size down or up. The men in your life all wear various sizes and have different preferences when it comes to shoes/tees/pants/etc. ASK them what they prefer and always save your receipts.

Accessories

Whether he likes to carry a backpack or a satchel, I found so many at some really great prices. I love a man in some great shades, but depending on face shape it can be tricky with the sizing and proportions. My face is so narrow I always have to have my sunglasses tightened – so again, save those receipts and the store will do it for you. Cuff links are also an excellent gift if your guy likes getting fancy or wears nice clothing on regular occasions. Last year I got Charlie a personalized watch box – and it was such a hit!

Athletic Wear

This is another category that never fails to disappoint. Even though I’m always worried about matching or looking cute in the gym (silly I know) Charlie especially loves a yearly refresh of gym wear regardless of matching. These joggers are 26$ and come in a variety of colors, such a deal!

Gadgets Galore

Know a guy who loves fun gadgets or techy gifts? Naturally since Charlie is a pilot I gave him a drone last year – and of course he has yet to use it, go figure. I have two Alexa gadgets in the house and LOVE them so much! We gave one to my father in law last year and he thinks it’s the coolest thing since sliced bread. Now if I could get MY dad to use one it’d be nothing short of a miracle. He did, however, send his first photo text to me the other day and felt super accomplished. The man still has a flip phone yall! Also consider these touch screen gloves for easy cold weather phone navigating.

Before we moved, I had a serious problem with my packages getting stolen. Having a Ring doorbell has been hugely helpful not only so I can yell at people through it but also to take a look outside through the app when I’m not home. I highly recommend it!

In the Kitchen/Storage

Does he like to cook, or do you wish he would (haha)? I personally do not cook enough, although I am slowly trying to be better about that. If I could survive the day on coffee alone, I probably would. I’ve got my eye on a new coffee maker and maybe your guy does too. I’ve heard good things about the new Keurig system! Also – where were we before Yeti and similar products? I found a Yeti 45 and an Engel 65 cooler on Amazon, the Engel is slightly bigger and costs 20$ less.

Shoes

All the men in my family love shoes – not as much as me – but giving a nice pair of shoes or even slippers is always a home run! Some prefer slip ons while others have a lifelong love with moccasins (Dad).

Skincare for Men

Just about every dude in my family is “too manly” for skincare until they don’t know what they’re missing. I LOVE the Kiehl’s and Jack Black products for men: even my super anti-anything girly brother uses the stuff I get him every year, which says A LOT. The Kiehl’s energizing face wash is fantastic for an extra morning boost and helps them get ready to tackle their day. If they do a lot of traveling, a dopp kit or shower set is always excellent paired with a cleansing tool. All that travel is not friendly on the pores and I guarantee they’ll fall in love with how squeaky clean they feel after using this.

Tees/Shirts/Outerwear

The fleece and teddy looks are back again this year and snugglier than ever – yes! Charlie has remarked a few times on some of my fleece pullovers so he’s totally getting one of his own this year. I’ve also included some great warm accessories for winter.
