Flowy Hi-Lo Skirt
Hello darlings!
One of these days (hopefully sooner rather than later) I’m going to learn this thing people call “balance”. I’ve started to believe, however, if I’m not running at one million miles per hour 24/7 I wouldn’t know what to do with myself. First it was learning how to balance work with completing my masters, now it’s work and the blog. Work has been record-breakingly busy and capped off with an extra dose of hectic with the recent departure of one my nurses. I must say, the resilience of my team to come together and work harder than ever is incredible and inspiring. I’m very fortunate to lead a team of brilliant nurses and health care professionals dedicated to the well-being of their patients, through thick and thin. To our credit, we hired another amazing nurse (I kind of poached her from another competing center in town) and she starts next month (exhale). I am so excited to see her impact on our team! She’s like a ray of sunshine, which was an essential and crucial element in the candidate I was hoping to find.
With this addition, my days (should) slow a wee bit and I can devote some proper time to planning out this blog, my posts and connecting with you all more often! AND the holidays are coming up, can you believe it? I read something today that said 11 weeks until Christmas and I had a mini panic attack. I can barely wrap my mind around the fact Halloween is in two weeks much less preparing for family get togethers and holiday plans.
As this blog continues to grow and find its feet, it leaves me in awe so many people take interest in what I’m wearing/doing/saying. You guys encourage me to keep doing this and develop/enrich the blog even further. I am so very flattered! I always look forward to hearing from you all and encourage you to let me know what you would like to see more of.
I’ve owed you the fine details of this lovely outfit for over a week. As many of my outfits do, this ensemble hails from L Bartlett boutique here in Dallas. The bodysuit is from For Love and Lemons and has a light thermal feel to it. I LOVE the cutout/tie feature, making it a very unique bodysuit. The skirt is by Stillwater and stole my heart the moment I saw it. I’m a total softie for hi-lo skirts, and this lightweight material + fall floral print takes the cake. The movement in this skirt is also rather lovely. The sandals are Sam Edelman and arrived in my monthly Trunk Club delivery. They come in a variety of fall colors and are truly comfortable! Lastly, the earrings I found at J Crew. Don’t you think they make incredible jewelry?
Wishing you all a lovely Friday and upcoming weekend!
