Dancing to your own Beat with Sudio Sweden
Happy Thursday! The weekend is so temptingly close, do you have any fun plans? Today we’re talking about beats – finding your own beat that is. I often get caught up in conversations with close friends talking about how different things are – even from just 10 years ago – and the powerful influence of the multitude of social media platforms out there nowadays. With all the sways and influence out there, it’s easy to get lost in overpowering voices ofĀ be thisĀ orĀ wear that orĀ no, you should really look like this.
Earlier this week we talked about cutting out the friends who no longer belong in your life. Didn’t catch that one? Read it here. What we didn’t talk about is keeping around the friends who lift you up, who inspire you, support you, and love you for exactly who you are. One of the most powerful things said to me by a very dear friend still rings in my ears:Ā I love you because you do you – you walk with an invisible tiara and don’t give a crap what people think.
The blunt honesty of that comment shocked me, I wasn’t expecting it nor had I ever really reflected on anything like that before. But the more I sat and really thought about it, the more I thought – you’re soĀ right. Feeling like that and finding that attitude definitely wasn’t easy, especially when the entire world seems keen on picking people apart rather than embracing them for who they are. But once I found my beat, I ran with it! Don’t like my purple hair? That’s too bad – I freaking love it! Have an issue with how I live my life? Well it’s a good thing we don’t live together then!
Some people might argue bloggers are just another platform trying to change people but on the contrary – most bloggers do an insanely amazing job getting people to become more comfortable in their own skin or finding out how to. I LOVE helping people bring out their best qualities and discover how to shine! Feeling like the best versions of ourselves is an incredible feeling and leads to happier days and all around better people. So forget what the world expects of you and be the happiest version of yourself – turn up the music and dance it out.
Speaking of music… did you see these headphones? My friends at Sudio Sweden have kindly gifted me these beautiful headphones AND a 15% off code for anyone interested in their products. Using code DAIQUIRIDIARIES at checkout on their website will get ya a great deal on any product that grabs your eye. Personally I’m a headphone girl but they have the ear plug versions as well and in a variety of colors! All are bluetooth equipped and ready to take on the day! I LOVE the comfort and fit of these headphones! I own similar brands and feel the sound delivered with these is just as amazing if not better because of the fit on my ears. Whether I’m taking a stroll or getting in my cardio – I’m loving these headphones. Give ’em a test!

Ha, that comment would catch me off guard too at first. I love your sense of style by the way! š
Learning to be proud of who YOU are is such an awesome thing. From fashion tastes to career choices- everyone has an opinion about what you should do, but we are the only ones who can walk in our shoes and we should be confident in who we are! (Super cute outfit btw….)
Lovely style, and some serious eyelashes there!
What a wonderful post. I love the way u writing ! And this headphones are great, I need to get one soon so have to check them out !
What fun dungarees, the distressing looks great š Your friend sounds like a very cool and honest person to know! š
Love this post and really love your faded overalls!! It’s a wonderful thing to be true to yourself. I have to remind myself too, that there’s no way for me to please everyone else, so it’s not worth much of my time to try. š

I am all about walking your own path and being true to you. I may be the only Boca mom who still wears DMs and goes to concerts and listens to alternative music. But, my kids are truly individuals, comfortable in their skin and their friends all say that they have the most chill, coolest mom in town. Zero cookie cutters in this house!
I so agree with this. You gotta be you and negative people always drain the energy out of me.
I was hoping to hear about how those headphones performed.
Hi Brian! Thanks for pointing that out! I’ll add edit the piece .. sometimes I get in a hurry! But since you asked.. I think the sound is solid! I have Beats headphones and absolutely love those as well – these as far as sound quality I think are right on par if not a little better because the ear piece fits over my ear more so than the Beats headphones. I love the fit and the comfort! Are there any other questions I can answer for you?
Stunning pictures! Thanks for sharing!
This is such a beautiful and inspiring article! I really enjoyed reading it, and your photos are absolutely gorgeous too!!
Wow! Your images are amazing! I love the contrast, And that outfit, I must have it!
This is beautiful! It’s so important to be true to who we are and not let the opinions of others beat us down. And these headphones look great!
This look and these headphones are awesome! Love them both!
