All things Lace with Maggy London & London Times

Here we are drifting in the Sunday scaries and about to jump into another work week. While we might not be wanting to go back to work, we can at least look amazing doing so! I amĀ so excited to partner with my friends at Maggy London to bring you this gorgeous dress from their new London Times line to amp up your workwear wardrobe.

Back when I was strutting around the hospital in heels and dresses on the daily, there’s nothing I adored more than finding a dress that was a) work appropriate, b) didn’t make me feel like I was wearing a shapeless box or c) aged 30 years beyond my actual age and above all d) made me feel beautiful. I find it especially hard when you’re of a younger age and working a variety of women (mostly older than you) to dress in a way that’s not going to earn a comment one way or another. It’s either too casual or showing too much .. you name it. But if I’m going to earn a comment, it’s because I look and feel great – so let’s all look great! If you missed my post on cutting out the negative, you can find it here or my post on dancing to you own beat here.

I particularly love Maggy London for their classic designs that maintain a trendy and fresh element without compromising the sophistication of the outfit. You’re not going to worry about exposing yourself in this dress or any other article of clothing in their lines which is such a relief (especially in the workplace!). Maggy London also offers petite sizing – my mom would be thrilled! She’s tinier than me! I chose this dress in particular for the lace detail and the stunning jewel tone turquoise color. Sometimes turquoise can be overpowering and a bit blinding – but this nicely transitions into the upcoming fall season.

We all know statement sleeves are huge and oh so fun right now. This birdy dress sports just enough of a bell sleeve to be eye catching without getting in the way of your daily activities. (I once wore a statement sleeve top to a cake making class –Ā veryĀ poor planning on my part.) For more of Maggy London and workwear, date night, or just because inspiration, check out their website here, or find them on Instagram , Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest.

  1. this dress looks beautiful on you – even though I’m a guy i can totally relate – when i have to dress up i don’t want to look like i’m an old man or work in a super conservative environment so i too have to search for suits & separates that are appropriate & make me feel good too!

  2. What a gorgeous color for a dress!!! You look stunning btw! And your earrings are just faboulous! Love this outfit! Trendy and super chic! šŸ™‚
