Thanksgiving Day Outfit Guide | burnt orange romper
Who is ready for Thanksgiving?! Or more accurately – who can believe it’s time for Thanksgiving?! While you may not live in a climate permitting this burnt orange romper, it completely reminds me of Thanksgiving in the south. We’ll actually be spending the holiday up in Boston, and rumor has it the cold weather has finally arrived there.
So what do you wear according to climates? I’ve put together a few look, most of which have items 50$ or less. This first look I adore. The cardigan speaks fall but also has fun vibes radiating from it! The leggings are Spanx, and are velvet, super cozy! I cannot get enough of their leggings. The moto pair this year are killer. I also own them in a beautiful burgundy wine and camouflage. They’re snug, flattering, and comfortable!
I’m always a sucker for a dress. They’re almost always my go-to so long as my legs are actually shaved – helloooo no shave November! Oh yes ma’am, that totally applies to the ladies just like the dudes. If they want to grow out that facial scruff, I’m growing out my leg hairs with zero shame.
Looking for a more cozy get up? I’m so awe struck by the sweater selection this fall. SO many amazing colors, sleeves, styles .. I remember when sweaters were just big and lumpy balls of unappealing wool. No longer! I’ve gathered here some of my favorite vibrant colors, statement sleeves, and downright adorable knits.
Thanksgiving always makes me think of boots & booties, especially printed styles. And they go with dresses or an entire ensemble. I recently bought these over the knee boots (on sale y’all!), and these glitter and sequin booties. Y’all – I cannot get enough. The gold booties grabbed so many compliments the other day when I was running errands, and thus my mood and confidence were both immediately elevated – so worth the purchase just for that reason alone. And don’t forget about the white bootie trend this season, so cute!
Lastly, let’s talk outerwear. Vests, coats, hats, and more – Thanksgiving gives me all the cozy feels. My favorite coat of the season is this snuggly coat from Free People. It literally feels like a cloud!
What are your Thanksgiving traditions? Do you always make a pumpkin pie or have enchiladas instead of turkey? My husband always makes a key lime pie and I prefer pecan. Do you have Thanksgiving at your home or do you go somewhere else? Stumped on ideas for a host gift? You can never go wrong with a solid bottle of wine or liquor. Remember my most about Minibar delivery? You can also go with these adorable little yet unforgettable items below.
And finally – you can shop my look.

Here in Texas, the weather hardly changes much…we really only get a few weeks of cold, rainy weather before we’re back to the hot humid days we’re known to have. But I LOVE Fall!!! This Burnt Orange is such a pretty color and it looks really nice on you!
