Holiday Dressing | Olive Juice

Olive juice..

Olive you…..

I love you ….. and all things olive. Actually minus real olives, love the color, hate the taste. Funny story about olives – my brother used to eat an entire plate of black olives right in front of me. The smell still makes me wretch. I also hoped I’d grow into them like I did with tomatoes – but no such luck. I can’t even drink martinis with olive juice in them –Ā yuck.

The color olive, however; I whole-heartedly adore. A fall staple color that transitions into winter with the ability to wear all year long. Remember when I paired this military trench with animal print? I also wore this olive dress last year with a beautiful nude poncho.

I snagged this dress from Reformation – one of my most beloved clothing lines. It also comes in black. Every piece is made with the utmost quality, and is sustainably & responsibly made. As much I love fashion, I cannot support fast fashion. Many of those retailers employ labor on the cheapest of scales, forcing human beings to work under the most horrendous of conditions. Reformation is committed toĀ keeping “sustainability at the core of everything” while ensuring their factories use the “most efficient, eco-friendly and pro-social technologies and practices” possible. Reformation also provides on-the-job training and opportunities for growth – isn’t that incredible?

I recently attended the grand opening of the Reformation boutique here in Dallas – it was SO fun! Whether you live in the big D or are contemplating a trip – you should stop by Reformation for a visit, nestled in the heart of Knox-Henderson. Speaking of Dallas – what do yall think of the wall art in these photos? Incredible right?!

  1. YASSSSSSSS!!! Love this dress! Olive is one color I love to wear. This dress, beautiful! I love how you paired it with the black and white clutch. I would have never thought of that. Thanks for sharing!!

  2. Oh no, ma’am. I’m not a fan of olives either. That sounds like something my brother would do to me though, just to drive me crazy! Brothers. Sigh. Actual olives aside, this olive color looks so great on you! I have an olive-colored jacket, and I love it.
