Be The Best You And Help Those Most In Need
We all want to be the best version of ourselves possible, right. And every one of us will have different ideas as to how to go about that. For instance, Iām sure that some of you would prefer to work on yourself by becoming fitter and stronger, while others might want to focus on your career and try to push forward with your success in that area. But did you know that improving ourselves doesnāt always mean that we need to focus on ourselves?
In fact, one way to grow as a person is to help others who are in need. By being selfless in this way, you will become a much improved person and you will find that it encourages those around to you not only to start looking up to you, but to work on themselves as well. Kindness is contagious! You might even become a role model! Ready to help those most in need? Here are some of your options below:
Give To Charity
One of the quickest and easiest ways you can help others out is by giving some money to charity. If you see someone with a collection bucket out in town, just popping a few coins in will help them reach their target. A little bit eventual adds to a lot. Alternatively, you might want to research the charities that help fundraise for causes that are close to your heart. You can then donate to them directly so that you know your money is going towards something you care deeply about (i.e. various cancers, healthcare research programs, or animal rights).
Fundraise For Charity
You donāt just have to give money to charity, though. You can make it a bit more fun by fundraising for them. Not only will this help you raise even more cash for the charity of your choice, but it can also give you a challenge to work towards and connect you with numerous other individuals interested in your same goal. For example, lots of people run marathons and half marathons on behalf of charities. Other exciting ways to fundraise include taking part in a skydive,, jump-a-thons, and even cutting your hair! Donāt worry, though; if that all sounds like too much hard work, you might want to keep things simple with a bake sale!
Become A Donor
Itās also a good idea to sign up for the donor registry. You never know when you might be able to give the gift of life to someone one day, or when you or a loved one may need it. There are some organs that can only be donated after brain death, including the heart, lungs. Some, such as bone marrow and kidneys, can be taken from a living donor. You might also want to see about egg donor testing to see if you are eligible to donate your eggs. You can then be happy knowing that you are helping a childless couple on their journey to become parents. A good friend of mine recently did this for a couple she knew; her selfless gift seriously is one of the kindest things I’ve ever seen.Ā
Donate Your Hair
Did you know that there are some cancer charities that ask for donated hair to make wigs for cancer patients? Real hair is preferred when making wigs so that they look natural. Itās worth bearing this in mind when you are next at the hairdressers.
So, with all of this in mind – how will you improve the life of someone less fortunate than yourself? I donate clothes on the regular but learned that from my mother. She always had us (my brother and me) clean out our clothes and toys each season to give to those less fortunate than us. I still do this every season, if not more. I also LOVE paying for the person behind me at Starbucks, hoping the chain of love with continue. You never know when someone might need a little surprise of happiness in their day!

What a great message! I love volunteering and Reward Volunteers has been a great platform for me to connect with volunteer opportunities in my community š
First, your outfit is amazing and those shoes are literally getting added to my cart right now! Secondly, I love the point of donating and have personally seen what a difference it makes for me. I love to see that my money can make an impact in my community and beyond.

What a great message! I also believe that taking care of yourself is important to helping others. My mom likes to use the example of oxygen masks on airplanes – you have to put yours on first before you can help another person put their’s on.
Becoming an organ donor is so important! We can’t take those with us so they might as well go to those in need.
