Hello my loves!

I’m writing to you all from high in the sky, jetting away to San Diego for the week. The trip is mostly for work, namely a conference I attend every year called ISHLT or International Society for Heart & Lung Transplantation. It is SUCH an incredible conference, jam-packed with the latest and greatest from all the reputable centers across the US & worldwide. It’s quite astonishing how quickly the world of medicine advances and evolves, which is why I attend this every year to find out the newest tid bits and network with my fellow transplant nerds. But don’t fret.. I’ll be squeezing in some fun as well including a trip to the San Diego Zoo (it’s incredible!).

I’m also super excited to see a long lost friend of mine, Alia, who actually lives in the area and is a blogger herself. Check her out, her page is the cutest!

I laugh at myself as I write to you all, my pet peeves and personality flaws usually shine bright on long flights. The weird smells, the odd noises, the stranger behaviors people exhibit while traveling – all of them tend to collectively crawl under my skin and get the best of me. So I order myself a hot tea, pop in my headphones and get to work to distract myself from the unnerving chaos around me.

I also tend to become fast friends with the individual sitting next to me. It’s always nice to find out more about your fellow human. Tonight I sit next to a pleasant woman with a kind face who is returning home from seeing her mother who was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I’m sure we will never meet again, but I’m sending her all my love, prayers and well wishes. Cancer is a devastating battle that needs all of our support!

In light of positive vibes, this two piece number by Show Me Your Mumu just livens up my soul. The floral pattern is youthful yet classy, and the style is so fun to wear! I feel like a need an umbrella drink in hand.. must remember to get one this week.
