Gift Guide for Him

I don’t know about you, but the men in my life are by far the most difficult to shop for! My dad, although he’s not a high maintenance man, is super picky. My brother is a chef, I never know what exactly to get him. Historically he would never wear what I bought him (he’s not a fancy man despite me trying) and is also incredibly picky with what he will wear. Gah! My husband is probably the least difficult to shop for – but he has everything already and is a little difficult to size. Fortunately many stores offer complimentary tailoring, some of them even same day tailoring (Suit Supply)!

We are ONE week away from Christmas and I’m still running around gathering last minute gifts. With each passing year I tell myself I’m going to start my shopping months ahead of time.. and each year I fail to do so.

Here are some gifts I picked based upon the men in my life. I’ll give you an idea of their personas: my dad, who grew up in Chicago, is not a fancy man whatsoever. He likes button up shirts (usually of a plaid design) with Levi jeans and nice sneakers or loafers. He also LOVES puffy coats in the winter and a good fleece pullover. My brother, as said before, is a chef by trade (and very talented). He loves graphic tees, sneakers, and a good slipper when he’s been on his feet all day long. He also has an insane beard and better hair than I do. My husband, a New-England native, is the fun one to dress up. Cashmere scarves, a classic pair of Cole Haan’s, and techy gadgets go a long way. He’s also a United States Air Force fighter pilot, so Ray-Ban’s nicely fit the stereotypical image. He also works out more than I do, loves Tumi luggage, and carries around a water bottle everywhere. All in all, I have some pretty fantastic men in my life!
