Give it a twulle | the staple your closet needs

How many times can I say it – IĀ adoreĀ tulle skirts. I chalk it up to spending basically my entire life in tutus, tulle, and tights – and I’m still missing it every single day. Tulle skirts, in my opinion, are the absolute essential staple when you’re considering skirts and statement items for your closet.

No matter the color – you can dress tulle skirts up or down, in a variety of forms. They go great with sneakers (love them with chucks), or with an insane pair of Manolo’s, cropped tee’s, off the shoulder wowzers, simple blouses, button ups – the possibilities are rather endless, as are the hair do’s and accessory pairings. Remember this look?

As we transition into fall, but still very much feel like summer here in Dallas, I paired this ensemble with earthy tones and delights of turquoise (love that color). I even found matching decor in the Bishop Arts area, how cool is that? Emporium pies, if you’re not familiar, is devilishly delicious (and worth every calorie).

I’m hoping the weather in your neck of the woods is a little more fall-like than here. It’s one of things I miss about living in Utah. What do you start pulling out in your closet for fall, what are your staple items? What do you consider a staple skirt? What do you most love about autumn? Catch up on my post about my favorite 5 things here.
