July 4th Holiday Sales

It’s JULY—- ?! Who else feels like they can’t keep the days straight anymore.. much less what month it is? I’m counting my blessings for a long weekend, hopefully seeing my family, and having extra time to do some homework and studying. Not gonna lie tho… I’m sneaking in some shopping to take advantage of the July 4th holiday sales currently happening. 🙂

In other news, yesterday I submitted my application to take my family nurse practitioner boards! The fact I’m able to do that is such a blessing – many of my classmates have had major setbacks in their clinical hours and schedules due to COVID19 and won’t be finishing until December. I’m privileged to be able to do clinicals every single day to make up for the two months we were out and still finish on time. That being said, the light at the end of the tunnel is VISIBLE and I’m counting the days until my last day in the clinic (August 5th!). It’s also very possible I break down in happy tears on the 5th.

I started my psych NP this summer as well. It’s HIGHLY interesting in the differences between family practice and psych – not only with the given subject matter but also in teaching styles. Family practice was oddly wayyyy more laid back than this psych program is so far. I thought it would have been the other way around but we’ll see how this next year goes.
