Linen Two Piece Ruffle Set

I was originally starting this post from the comforts of rural France and then got completely bogged down in school work.

Our tour of the absolutely beautiful country was everything and more than I had hoped for. I will most definitely include (likely a two part) blog post of the trip, but for now I thought I’d play a very much needed catch up.

We’re already now past mid-June and school for me is definitely in full swing. They weren’t kidding when they say doctoral programs have very few students for a reason … yikes. I severely underestimated the workload, by a long shot.  One of my professors is an absolute gem and the other.. more like an ogre. I’m trying to see it from the viewpoint of pushing me beyond my box of thinking and into a greater educational landscape but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to a tantrum (or two) already. I’ve also been told to let go of my straight A mentality – but we’ll see about that. I’m kind of a (humongous) perfectionist.

I tried my hardest to find a balance between school work and enjoying our trip but I definitely had to set aside time each and every day to get the massive amount of work and reading done. But again..  doing school work in France – life could definitely be worse.

On another note – my diet whilst in France – completely gone to crap. French food is rich beyond dreams. Thus I have started and am almost finished with a five day rigorous juice cleanse via Squeezed Online (not sponsored). My lovely photographer, Luisa, who took the photos below, recently did her 3 day cleanse and loved it so I thought I’d give it a go. Overall the cleanse has gone extremely well and I’ve not felt hungry (I’ve been supplementing with lots of water) and I added a cashew milk for after the gym. I’ve also lightened my workouts since my intake is much less. My results have been tremendous! I’ve lost my vacation bloat & a few extra lbs!
