Saturday Comfort
Hello darlings!
I don’t know about you, but this week was a doozy. I spent the majority of the week scurrying through 12-13 hour days at the hospital and feeling like I was lost to the happenings of the world. Though it sounds crazy, I’m not complaining. My job fulfills me in ways I cannot express, even amidst the constant chaos. One of my patients came to clinic this week and had recently returned from a mission trip to Costa Rica. Ever since transplant, this patient is dedicated to paying it forward and donating their time to those less fortunate than many in return for the ultimate gift given to them, life. Isn’t that beautiful? Upon sharing their Costa Rican experience with me, I was surprised with the most thoughtful gift.
Isn’t the bowl gorgeous (also on my IG)? I definitely got all sappy and shed some tears. This is the reason I work in chaos, and know I’m exactly where I need to be. Helping people live their second chance at life is SUCH a powerful thing, and truly humbling.
Now that the week has dwindled down and I can catch my breath (and a few z’s) how has your week been? Today I’ve been a complete bum, but a productive bum. I’ve (finally) caught up on emails, prioritizing new week and even did some cleaning! I also ordered some new slippers earlier this week since mine were over two years old and definitely looking pathetic.
Brace yourselves.. They’re BUNNIES!!!
The moment I spotted these at Nordstrom, I instantly needed them. I’m already a total sucker for Kate Spade, so it’s a double win. I can totally wear these at the hospital, right?
Find them here : Black Slip On SlipperĀ ; Bunny BootieĀ
I’ve also got a major list of errands to tend to.. the list has been growing for a shameful number of week(s). Happy Saturday to you all!
Outfit deets: Dress {Blue Life} found at L. Bartlett Boutique
