Styling Graphic Tees
Some of the best things in life occur unexpectedly, just like my relationship with Prince Peter. Friends old and new have often remarked about my “style evolution” and feed on Instagram. In my post about the New Year and my attitudes regarding this blogging career, I discussed how last summer I stopped caring about being an “it” girl and transitioned into a mindset of having much more fun and a creative vision with my content – best decision I ever made!!
Scrolling through my IG feed over the past several months clearly demonstrates a more carefree approach to the outfits I styled and embracing my quirkier desires. Fashion is meant to be fun and an expression of you! It was evident to me last summer I was wearing clothing that I liked but considered “safe” and more what like everyone was wearing. Ew! Needless to say I’ve stomped out that mindset and have thrown myself into creating photos that inspire and tell a story rather than playing it safe.
One of the coolest things I’ve done recently is make friends with Prince Peter and style a variety of their graphic tees. The best thing about graphic tees is the versatility with personal styles. I tried to uniquely style all these different tees in a variety of fun ways to fit certain personalities and style traits. Skirts, pants, layering, and all the fun accessories were thrown in the mix and I love each and every look.
Merci Tee
This outfit was full of color and so much fun to accessorize. I paired the tee with a favorite pair of green pants I’ve had for several years. Green, in my opinion, is a classic color but not “too” loud for those who don’t often wear color.
Power of Love Tee
I love this shirt. The message is simple yet undeniably strong. I layered over a dress you saw me wear in my anniversary post. I was so happy to have an excuse to wear such a fun dress again! Carrie Bradshaw vibes are too good to pass up.
Oui Tee
Leopard print, leopard print – how I love thee. This skirt is flirty, affordable, and can be paired with SO many different tops. I threw on this adorable headband and had all types of fun twirling around. This fun background totally gave me circus vibes!
More Love, Love More Tee
Again, a slogan I can’t disagree with. This skirt is a find from Anthropologie from a few years ago and too good to ever let go of! I foresee it making another outing during festival season. I brought out a new sun-loving blazer and some red accessories I’ve also had for years. Fun fact: I first wore this beret in my 5th grade holiday play, isn’t that incredible? I had a singing role and was absolutely terrified. Still can’t hold a tune.
Green Neon Tee
Neon is here and doing the most, therefore I did the most when putting together this color scheme. I added a very affordable slip dress that complimented the neon green although I think pink goes with almost anything. Mainly I was thrilled to carry around my adorable purse that matched my dress. Also note the unicorn mile high dessert drink pictured. SUGAR HIGH!
Peachy Neon Tee
Coral neon, peach neon? No matter – it’s freaking fabulous. I wasn’t quite sure about my outfit until I saw it in pictures – it came together so well. I’m all for animal print on any given day and these pants were a major win. High-waisted, warm, and full of attitude. Check, check, check. Also – gold metallic mules, helllloooo gorgeous!
Road Trip Babe Baseball Tee
This shirt took me back to being a teenager. I LIVED in baseball tees (whether they were mine or my bf’s). Combine that nostalgia with wanting to road trip to Cali and the mood of the photos is understood. Styling this with a classic denim (maxi) skirt and some edgy hiking boots kicks it all up a notch.
Femme Feline Crop
This was the first tee I found from the brand and what solidified our (best) friendship. It was actually cold in Dallas (this was photographed in mid December) so I grabbed some unbreathable patent pants and layered some military themed coats. There is no other season you can realistically wear patent/faux leather in Dallas without completely passing out from heat exhaustion. I’ve tried it, and I regretted every second. The varying textures in this outfit give grand audience appeal and made me feel like a total rockstar.
