The Amazon Plants You Absolutely Need

plant life

By some (seriously) miraculous doing, I’ve become a successful plant lady – who would’ve thought? I still have zero luck with orchids, poor things, but all of my others plants are absolutely thriving! I initially took a chance by ordering two plants of off Amazon sold by Costa Farms. They did so well I branched out and ordered some more! With a little sunlight and some tlc, they’ve grown to be beautiful and luscious!

I have to say the peace lily has by far done the best – I’ve had to repot to this gorgeous (West Elm) planter – her name is Calliope. Yes I name my plants – do you? The newest addition is this willow bonsai. It’s growing SO FAST! I recently rewatched the Karate Kid series and was inspired. In the third movie Mr. Miyagi grows bonsai trees! I haven’t named it yet – they actually send you three roots, so technically I’m growing three. Right now they’re in this set of planters. Any ideas?

I wasn’t able to link these in the graphic but my larger plants including my ficus (Benjamina) tree live in two sets of these grey/gold planters from Overstock.

There’s something about having plants in the home and the joy of keeping them alive that feels restorative. Some plants are rumored to purify the air although the data out there significantly varies. I choose to believe it adds a little something šŸ™‚ I now own all the plants I’ve listed above along with a couple plants purchased at a local nursery.

Also, it’s important to keep in mind if you have pets (especially cats), be sure you check to make sure which plants may be poisonous and/or keep them away at a safe distance. Fur babies > plant babies.

  2. It was only recently that I learned you could purchase live plants on Amazon. This came as a shock to me, but I guess nothing should shock me anymore when it comes to Amazon haha! I love that you’ve found a way to successfully “raise” your plant babies! These are such cool plants!

  3. I had no clue you could purchase live plants from Amazon! I’ve picked up a few planters from Amazon and love them– so many cute options! Thanks for including the tip about pet-safe plants, I find that a lot of people don’t realize how dangerous house plants can be for pets, especially cats.
