What’s your Medium? Watches with Definition
Hi guys!
I’m writing to you all from New Orleans which, if you follow me on Snapchat, you know I’m here for more school (hooray!).
We are in the full blooms of spring (allergies also blooming) and in Dallas, even currently here in New Orleans, it feels more like the beginning of summer. The weather is warmer than usual for this time of year, extremely humid, and bringing out all the frizz in my hair.. fun, right?
I’m so excited to share this look with you all! I love working with brands to bring you products I can’t live without.. this watch definitely being one of them. I had actually fallen out of the habit of wearing watches for quite some time although I wore one religiously growing up. (I had a red Mickey Mouse watch!) I even have an Apple Watch that I sadly never use and will probably sell.
This watch, however, is sleek, clean, and elegant. Amongst the chaos of my evolving schedule, wearing a watch helps me feel a bit more put together and, in my opinion, refines and dignifies your overall look.
Speaking of put together, let’s catch up on some major subjects shaping my current outlook, shall we?
New Beginnings – I am here inĀ New Orleans (as I type this) to embark on a new journey towards my ultimate goal: Dr. Tara Raquel Fuller, DNP. For those unaware, DNP stands for Doctorate of Nursing Practice which is a huge deal! DNP’s can enact upon and implement already existing research, Ā not an easy task by any means. This is akin to a PhD but for the practice of nursing. I take on this adventure amongst my already (insane) schedule, and I couldn’t be more excited to begin! The opportunities that have yet to present themselves but surely will arise with my DNP fill me with so much excitement and happiness.
Empowerment – the past year and a half have been the most trying months of my life for a multitude of reasons. My mental, physical and emotional wellbeing has been tried, tested, betrayed, renewed and everything in between you could possibly imagine. I have people who have left my life and people I have welcomed into it, all of which occur for a purpose not always immediately apparent. I bear some deep emotional scars which I fully wear with pride. I always take humor in the judgmental creatures out there who pretend to know the battles occurring in someone’s life, who are we to make assumptions? Never ever presume to know what someone is going through or judge how they choose to live their one life they are given. That being said, love yourself and everything you stand for and aim to achieve. There’s only ONE you in this world, embrace and run with it! If someone doesn’t appreciate that, they do not belong in your life.
Vision – not only am I beginning my DNP, my blog is flourishing and is such a fun creative outlet. I’ve already met some incredible people through this blog and cannot wait to see what the future of the blog brings! Yes, the future will only get busier, but I believe in accomplishing anything you believe possible!
Strength – as I previously said, the past several months have been tumultuous at best. There were times I fell to my knees, swallowed by pain and heartache, unsure of my decisions, situation and future. Life has many curveballs, but yet I am still here and ever the better for them. Above all, believe in yourself and surround yourself with others who believe in you as well. We can never have enough positivity and self love!
Grace – I believe in treating all situations with the grace God has bestowed upon me, as flawed as I am. Compassion towards my patients, passion in my pursuit of knowledge, gratitude to my incredible network of friends and family, and unending grace to those who aren’t.
I’ve partnered with Medium Watches to bring you this unique and rather lovely piece. TheirĀ mission is to shareĀ affordable,Ā top quality, minimalistic watches without costing a fortune (can I get an amen?!).Ā They believe perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. Isn’t that beautiful? It reminds me of this:
āThe molecules of your body are the same molecules that make up the nebulae, that burn inside the stars themselves. We are star stuff.ā

I’m so jealous of the warm weather there! We’re finally starting to get some sunshine in NYC – but definitely not warm enough for shorts and sandals yet. Great summer look!
